What do you need:
Yarn (I use 4 colors, beige, turkois pink and green)
1 Button
Crochet hook (I use a 3 mm for my yarn here)
Tapestry needle
Pair of scissors
Stitches:
Ch : chain
Sl st : slip stitch
Sc : single crochet
Hdc : half double crochet
Dc : double crochet
Instructions:
Make this part 2 times; front and back
Start with green color
Make a magic ring (or 4 ch and close with sl st)
Row 1: 4 x sc in ring
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, 2 sc in each sc (8 sts)
Row 3: Ch 2, turn, *1 sc in sc, 2 sc in sc, repeat from * 3 times. (12 sts)
Finish off and attach new color
We will start each row with new color, now working at the left site facing for each row
Row 4:(pink) Ch 2, * 1 sc in sc, 2 sc in second sc, repeat from * 5 times (18 sts)
Row 5:(beige) Ch 3, *1 dc, 1 dc, 2 dc, repeat from * 5 times (24 sts)
Row 6:(turkois)Ch 2, sc in sc (24 sts)
Row 7:(pink) Ch 2, * sc,sc,sc,2sc, repeat from * 6 times (30 sts)
Row 8:(green) Ch 2, * sc,sc,sc,sc,2sc, repeat from * 6 times (36 sts)
Row 9:(pink) Ch 3, dc in sc (36 sts)
Finish off.
Row 10:(green) On top make a row of 26 sts.
Finish off and attach new color
We will start each row with a new color, now working at the right site facing for each row
Row 11:(turkois)Ch 2, sc in sc
Row 12:(pink) Ch 2, sc in sc
Row 13:(green) Ch 3, dc in sc
Row 14:(beige/green) Ch 2, sc in dc; 2 times beige, 2 times green repeat till end.
Row 15:(beige) Ch 2, sc in sc
Row 16:(pink) Ch 3, dc in sc
Row 17:(turkois)Ch 3, dc in dc
Row 18:(beige) Ch 3, dc in dc
Finish off
Join Front and Back
With back and front facing, working through both thicknesses at once, held tog with a sl st in upper left corner edging sc, ch 1; beg in same st, sc in each st around to opposite side of top opening.
Finish off and start again in the left corner, * 3 sc, ch3 and a sl st in the first chain, repeat from * several times till end. (We call picot stitch)
Flap.
Make a magic ring (or 4 ch and close with sl st)
* work with right side facing for each row
Row 1: Ch 3 (count as dc ), 2 dc in the ring, ch 2, 3 dc, finish off
Row 2: Ch 3 , 2 dc in the first stitch, ch, 3 dc in ch 2 ,2 ch, 3 dc in same ch2, ch,3 dc in last dc, finish off.
Row 3 : Ch 3, 2 dc in the first stitch, ch,3 dc in next ch 1,
ch 1, 3 dc in ch 2, ch 2, 3 dc in same ch2, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch 1, ch 1, 3 dc in last dc, finish off.
Row 4, row 5 , row 6 :repeat row 3 Attach turkois and make a row of sc at the base line op the triangel.
Attach green at the left side facing ,
* 2 sc in each dc, (sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc) in ch. Repeat from *.
At the top of the triangel (ch 2) : sc, hdc, dc, extra 4 ch (for the button) and dc, hdc, sc in the same ch 2.
Finish off.
Attach flap on the back of the purse.
Held tog with a sl st in upper right corner edging sc, ch 1; beg in same st, sc in each st.
Shoulder Strap
1. chain 130
2. turn and in every ch, 1 sc
3. change color, turn and in every sc, 1 sc.
Flowers (2x)
Make a magic ring (or 4 ch and close with sl st)
Round 1: * Ch 3, sc in magic ring, repeat from * 5 times
You have now 5 petals.
Change color
Round 2 : * in Ch 3, 5 dc; in sc, sl st, repeat from * 5 times
Make 1 flower and attach on the strap and 1 flower to attach on the back of the jelly bean bag.
Finishing
Fold flap over front of bag to find placement of button.
Attach button with yarn.
Attach shoulder strap with yarn.
